Designing Your Garden Landscape

This class is every gardener’s dream in the winter time! Join New Leaf Plant Specialist Jen, for an opportunity to learn how to plot your garden spaces and help you understand how to select the right plants for your areas based on zone, size, and light, as well as what you can do to deter deer and other local ‘adversaries’ of the gardener. Make sure to bring a photo of the area of your yard or garden you would like to plant, and Jen will assist you in drawing a plan.

This class is intended for the design of a designated space in your garden; due to the length of the class, full landscape designs must be scheduled with our landscape designer, Cassie through the nursery; design fees apply.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for New Leaf Nursery to create successful events for everyone involved, class attendance for every class must be at a minimum of 8 people.

Bird Feeder Nest

Our gardens may be sleeping, but the birds are still foraging for food. Join us to create this whimsical, practical and safe bird feeder made from all natural elements, including grapevine and moss. Our talented floral teacher, Holly Vesterby, will show you the way to create an orb that the birds will love. You will be given a recipe card for how to make your own suet cakes to add to your nest, or you can purchase premade ones at the class (please let us know in advance if you will be purchasing them). All needed supplies will be provided; please bring a wire cutter and gloves for the class.

The class is intended for adults and will be held in the barn at New Leaf Nursery, and is weather dependent. Please plan to park in the upper east-facing or north-facing parking areas. You will receive an email 1–2 days prior to the class with parking details.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for New Leaf Nursery to create successful events for everyone involved, class attendance for every class must be at a minimum of 8 people.
