New Fall Arrivals Are Here—
GOURD-GEOUS Pumpkins & Mums
While the forecast continues to hang onto the last gasp of summer, our evenings are starting to take on the cozy spirit of the season. Have you been to the nursery lately? Our newest fall arrivals have just landed, and they’re everything your autumn dreams are made of. We’re FALLing hard for this season’s stunning blooms and festive finds.
Summer color may be fading, but your garden’s show is far from over. Our fresh selection of colorful mums and asters are proof that beauty lasts well beyond the warm months. These low-maintenance garden favorites thrive in containers and add a vibrant splash of color to porches, patios, and garden beds all the way until the first frost—perfect for greeting fall visitors to your home.
And of course — it’s not fall without pumpkins! That’s right—pumpkins of every shape, color, and size have arrived at New Leaf. Use them to accent your plantings, decorate your doorstep, or create a festive fall display that’s picture-perfect.
Stop by this weekend to explore all the new arrivals and stock up on everything you need to celebrate fall in style! And don’t forget to take home some garlic bulbs while you’re here—we still have a great selection of varieties to choose from, and it’s never too early to plan for next year’s harvest!
Plant Now for Spring Color!
Bulbs are one of the easiest ways to add beautiful color to your garden early in the season—often blooming before most perennials even get started! From cheerful crocuses and classic tulips to fragrant hyacinths and deer-resistant alliums, there are so many options to choose from.
We have more than 50 varieties of bulbs available at the nursery, with options for sun, part shade, fragrance, early blooms and more.
For the best results, plant bulbs in well-drained soil at a depth about 3× the height of the bulb, and remember to let the foliage naturally yellow and die back after blooming. Those leaves are busy recharging the bulb for next year's flowers!
Fall is the time to plant! Stop by New Leaf Nursery and let our team help you choose the right bulbs for your North Idaho garden.
Let the Countdown Begin —
Fall Festival is Almost Here!
Remember what made fall festivals so much fun as a kid? The smell of funnel cakes and cotton candy, homemade pies and fried chicken. The music, the rides, the bouncy houses, the petting zoo, and running around with your friends until the sun went down. We’re bringing a little of that magic to New Leaf Nursery’s Annual Fall Festival, celebrating 11 years of fall fun, community, and tradition!
Bring the whole family for a weekend of fun, with a Kids’ Zone featuring free bounce houses, laser tag, $5 face painting, a free petting zoo, and a community art project to keep little hands busy. Enjoy live music ranging from jazz and folk to ’70s and ’80s rock, plus plenty of family fun, food, games, and activities. And best of all, admission is always FREE!
It’s hard to imagine that this year’s Fall Festival could be better than the last—and with temperatures shaping up to be in the 70s, the forecast couldn’t be more perfect for kicking off the fall season!
With over 100 vendors, artisans and attractions, there’s something for everyone! This year, we’re excited to team up with The North Idaho 4H Equus Echoes to bring a true community experience to our pony ride attraction. 100% of the pony ride profits will go back into the community through the 4H program that benefits local kids and their families.
With the recent wildfires in the Spokane area serving as an important reminder, now is a great time to prepare your home for fire season. Northern Lakes Fire will be joining us all weekend at our Fall Festival, offering free information, helpful fire prevention tips, and guidance on getting your home ready for the season. Stop by, ask questions, and learn simple steps you can take to help protect your home and family.
We’re also proud to support one of our favorite local charities, whose focus remains on the North Idaho community: Make-A-Wish Idaho Foundation. Keep an eye on the website or our socials for special offers from this charity.
Foodies—get ready! With over 20 food vendors on site, your taste buds are in for a treat. From savory bites and gourmet comfort food to sweet indulgences and refreshing drinks, there’s something to satisfy every craving. Meanwhile, adults can unwind in the Beer & Wine Garden, sipping a refreshing wine slushy from Rosemary Manor Winery while enjoying the crisp fall air and festive atmosphere.
The weekend will be filled with live music to keep the energy high:
Kathy Colton & the Reluctants + Balboa Park Band + The Kindreds (Friday)
LakeTown Sound + The Kindreds + The Smirks (Saturday)
The Pollinators (Sunday)
The nursery will be filled with all your fall favorites—pumpkins, mums, kale, cornstalks, hay bales, and more—plus special deals on trees, shrubs, and garden art. Our barn will be filled with fall blooms, fragrant décor, and cozy finds, including New Leaf Nursery’s signature “Harvest Hollow” fall candles and room sprays from local favorite Lux Lily. And you’ll even get a sneak peek of our holiday collection!
