The Art of Seed Starting: Planting Herbs

  • New Leaf Nursery 12655 North Government Way Hayden, ID, 83835 United States (map)

Discover the joy of growing your own herbs in this hands-on class! Whether you're new to gardening or looking to refine your skills, Ashley will guide you through the essentials of starting herbs with seeds. Learn about soil preparation, choosing the right seeds, and creating the perfect conditions for healthy, thriving herbs. By the end of this workshop, you’ll have your own freshly planted herb seeds to take home and nurture into a flavorful and fragrant garden. We will supply all the materials needed for this class, including a seed starting kit with soil, a warming mat and seeds.

Ashley works at the nursery as a sales associate and ambassador for The Farmstand at New Leaf Nursery Hayden. The Farmstand is a seasonal market for local produce growers, as well as cottage goods artisans (meat, cheese, eggs and bread). The Farmstand runs during the growing season from June to September, showcasing seasonal produce and foods for your daily needs.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for New Leaf Nursery to create successful events for everyone involved, class attendance for every class must be at a minimum of 8 people.
